If you are unsure of whether you have come into contact with the Covid-19 virus, our specialist Covid-19 Antibody blood testing service is here to you and your family.
The purpose of this specialist blood testing service is to inform you as to whether you have come into contact with the virus; just to reiterate that this is not a cure for the virus, but a test to determine whether you have developed the antibodies and if you have been exposed to Covid-19.
It is also very important to note that this blood test does determine whether you are contagious or not.
Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) Antibodies:
This test consist of a blood test and will allow you to know if you have been exposed to the virus previously. This is not a diagnostic test.
The body can take from 1 to 3 weeks after the infection to develop antibodies. Therefore, it is recommended to wait at least 14 days after the exposure or the first symptoms to undertake this test.
Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) PCR:
The test consist of a nasal/throat swab.
Samples should be taken between 1-5 days after your first symptoms/exposure. It will allow you to know if the virus is present in your respiratory tract at the time of the test.
